Runher Dates for 2012
Belfast Telegraph Runher returns in 2012 with two key dates for your diary- one event in the spring and another in the autumn. We have our flagship event at Stormont with lots of fresh changes at the venue and a whole new Runher experience taking place down by the coast....
Belfast Telegraph Runher 2012 returns this year with two key events:
1.Friday 25th May 2012 (7.15pm) Belfast Telegraph Runher Coastal Challenge 10k walk or Run
2.Sunday 7th October 2012 (Various start times) Belfast Telegraph Runher 5k & 10K @ the Stormont Estate
Online entry will open for Mays event in early March. Watch this space for further details. This event will start at Seapark, Holywood and will be a 10k trek along the coastal path to Crawfordsburn Country park. There will be a start time for the 10k run and a seperate start time for the walk. Full details on the event will follow in early March. There will be an entry limit for the coastal challenge - to be announced. We feel that this event will take place in one of the beautiful treks in NI and away from busy roads. This event is all about enjoyment, great views, getting fit and enjoying the camadarie. Those looking for big PBs may be better served looking at fast 10k events elsewhere.
We will be starting the event in 3 waves- those looking to run strong will get the chance to start at the front but as this is a tight route in parts, we will be asking everyone to be careful along the way. The views are spectacular and the finish area will have "a running festival - Its the weekend" feel about it. Not to be missed !!
Stormont 7th October 2012- will have new and well seperated start times for the 10k walk, 5k run and 10k run. There will be a whole new start and finish area along with a village feel to the "Race Registration/Finish area Quater". More details to follow.
Race Organisers would like to thank title sponsors, Belfast Telegraph for their valued and continued support. We will be doing lots around getting fit, training plans, health initiatives and training groups in 2012 with the Belfast Telegraph. Our other partners in 2012 will be Sport NI, Belfast City Council, Brooks Running, Up & Running NI, Premier Inn and Cool FM.
We will be announcing our charity partner in due course.
We look foward to seeing everyone again for a bigger and better Runher in 2012. Get those dates in your diaries today - you wont be disappointed with our plans! See you soon,
Runher Event Crew
